338 : muse packaging

Sometimes I fall in love with packaging for products I'd never actually use, but that's not the case with Muse. I confessed earlier in this blog that I have a love affair with reed diffusers and candles, and these are no different. The super nice packaging, (which consists of letterpressed labels on wood bases) on Muse products makes them so hard to resist. I think I may need these.

334 : wrapping presents

I'm sure by now you may have touched on the fact that I can be a little neurotic in my quest for perfection during the holidays. What's funny, is as much as I like shopping for loved loves, I like wrapping presents even more.

My mom doesn't understand why I'd buy wrapping paper when she has tons of rolls in her garage (snowmen and Santa printed, no doubt) and I'm sure Jeff thought I was nuts when I took forever picking out the perfect paper. But in the end, my neurosis paid off... super cute presents now fill the living room.

278 : bee raw packaging

I'm not a big honey fan, so it's surprising that I have two posts about honey packaging on this blog. But these cute little vials from Bee Raw are just too cute. A beautifully simple way to create a "sampler" and showcase different flavors of honey.

Even their jars of honey are beautiful in their simplicity.

269 : moonstruck packaging

I'm definitely a minimalist girl. Clean, modern lines, and tons of negative space makes me one happy girl. But occasionally, I'll see something elaborate that speaks to me. The newly designed chocolate bar packaging for Moonstruck was designed by typographer Kate Forrester, is one of those things. Love the hand-drawn lettering and drawings. So pretty.

258 : the geometry of pasta

I came across this book today and am seriously in love. A book about pasta and sauces? Eh. But the simple, beautiful design and graphics of the book may just qualify it as shelf worthy. The flat black graphics are just so beautifully done, and I LOVE the alphabet page (big shocker there). Gorgeous.

When I have the desire (which is often) to look at beautiful typography, I head over to welovetypography.com. A compilation of various images of type from all over the web, this site definitely feeds my need for visual stimulation.

245 : colombo tea & coffee packaging

Love the packaging and logo designs from Colombo Tea and Coffee, a South African based company. The clean, white packaging showcases the beautiful "coffee" stained logos perfectly.

216 : iphone

After months of waiting, calling the Apple Store everyday, standing in line for an hour (yes, I'm one of those people), and the incredibly nice Apple guy who helped me (thanks Seamus!) I finally got my new phone.

I've also come to the realization that lately whenever I get super excited about something, in my head, I do the happy dance Katherine Heigl does in The Ugly Truth. And then another realization occurs: I'm such a dork. But at this moment, I'm one happy dork, and that's all that matters.

184 : finishing projects

I love when projects are finalized and sent to print. Inside I do a little happy dance (after the nerves of making sure there are no changes, and everything is correct, of course). Today was one of those days that I got to put a long awaited project to bed.

What's even better...there is a good chance this will be on the shelves this back to school season. Double happiness.

152 : babees honey

While browsing notcot today, I came across some visual eye candy...Babees Pure Organic Honey packaging. I'm speechless...how amazingly gorgeous and simple this is? And I love the custom calligraphy for the logo.

124 : o olive oil

For years I have admired the sleek sophisticated bottle of O Olive Oil products. I remember being in high school and in awe when I'd walk down the aisle while grocery shopping with my dad. That awe still exists almost 10 years later.

This past weekend I was in charge of making the mother's day lunch for the fam. I made a few different side salads (roasted eggplant, israeli couscous, quinoa, caprese) and realized I needed some vinegar. Low and behold, the amazingly beautiful bottle of O's Citrus Champagne Vinegar was there to greet me at the store. And I'm very happy to report that the product is as amazing as it's design. I love it when that happens.

106 : tea forte

We're tea drinkers. Monique is a chai kinda girl, and Jen likes green. But even before we drank tea on a regular basis, we had to have Tea Forte. We fell in love in with the packaging years ago, and bought some based more on the way it looked, than the fact that we actually wanted to drink it. It's the designer side of us. The packaging is simple and clean, and the little leaves on the tea bags are just too cute. A happy surprise was to discover their tea isn't too shabby either.

101 : pure dark packaging

While in New York last summer I stumbled across Pure Dark. A small boutique chocolate shop dedicated to...you guessed it...dark chocolate. In addition to their yummy chocolate, their packaging was so simple and beautiful. I got a few to give as a gift, then went back a few days later to pick some more up.
