354 : four years

Today my feisty, smart, cuddly little guy is 4! Time flies.

318 : squeak squeak

There are few things in life that make monster out of control happy: squeak toys, cuddles with me under a blanket and Pupperoni.

Whenever he accompanies me to the pet store his little Monster brain just can't handle it when anyone squeaks toys. He gets so alert and so excited and his tiny little body shakes more than normal (hey, he is a chihuahua). It really is no surprise that he has an insane amount of toys at home (the office supply needs to be restocked).

He sleeps with one under the covers, keeps one in his mouth as he uses the litterbox (best thing ever!) and would rather squeak in the car than look out the window. He's even been known to stick his head in bags on the floor to see if anything is inside that is "for him".

Sure, hearing the constant squeak of little rubber balls in the middle of the night makes me crazy, but seeing the excitement on his little face counteracts that and makes me happy. If only people were as easy to please.

295 : halloween

I can't remember the last time I actually dressed up, but I do however, love to dress up the Monster. This year, I used a recycled costume from a few years ago, and remembered how super cute he looks as a bee (even in a crappy cell phone camera photo). Oh, how I heart him.

291 : tuesday dinner

For the past month (or so) my Tuesday nights have been spent at my dad's house. It's been fun hanging out with him, Betsy and Grant, laughing at the dogs and hanging out. Having a close family (and now a few new members) is such a blessing.

280 : monster (yet again)

Ok, ok. There have been numerous posts about my little guy, but today is a little bit different. I woke up super early today feeling like hell. My throat was killing me and my head was achy. Ugh. I hate being sick. The only positive is that while I stay in bed most of the day (and periodically move myself to the couch), the little monster is there sleeping soundly by my side. Cuddles from him is one of the best medicines there is (with nyquil a close second).

233 : working from home

One of the nice things about being the boss is making your own hours. That, combined with the fact that all I need to design is my computer/laptop and an internet connection makes for one happy day.

I think the monster likes it too :)

207 : giz's tongue

Yes, I know...ANOTHER happy post about the Monster. But I just can't look at this little guy, with his tongue sticking out, and not smile. Good day or bad, he brings a bit more smiles to my face. He's just so freaking cute.

And if anyone wonders why said tongue always sticks out, I leave you with this (sorry that only the chest fur is in focus)...

And before you ask, no, it's not photoshopped... And yes, you may call him Gene.

192 : ducks/geese

Back in May the bf and I took the monster for a stroll around the lake. It was such a beautiful day and I was more than a little happy to see that there were TONS of ducks hanging out by the water. There is something about ducks that just puts a smile on my face. Maybe it's their "quacks", or their little waddling bodies, or maybe it's their webbed feet. Whatever it is, they just make me happy.
And one of my monster watching the ducks because he's just so darn cute :)

176 : fireworks

This year the bf and I watched the fireworks in the field of a school with the monster. Although the people behind us talked the whole time, and the finale was a joke, it was a perfect way to end the 4th.

136 : this face

After a particularly difficult day, I pulled up to the office and saw this...

it reminded me just how happy one little guy can make me...and that it'd be nice if someone would clean the windows. <3

99 : fresh laundry

Having just finished laundry for the week, the smell of detergent and fabric softener is in the air. Although doing and folding laundry is not so fun, there is something refreshing about the site and smell of laundry right out of the dryer. It brings out a comforting sort of happiness that feels like home.

It's the same for our favorite four pound monster, Gizmo, who just can't resist jumping head first into a pile of fresh warm laundry out of the dryer. If there is a pile of clothes out of the dryer, it's safe to assume that a certain someone will be found right in the middle of it all.

73 : puppies

Puppies make us happy. How many people don't smile when they see a puppy? Seriously.

Today being National Puppy Day, we thought we'd once again share a photo of the monster... A little over 3 years ago I saw this face on Recycler.com and fell in love.

Cutest. Thing. Ever.

68 : gizzy cuddles

We know what you're thinking...we already did the 4 pound firecracker as our post for Day 01... And you're right. But he's so flipping cute, plus we needed to show just how cuddly he actually is. Luckily the camera phone was able to capture him and all his cuteness.

How could you not love this cute little face?

It's actually amazing we get any work done at all.

Oh how I heart you my little guy. <3

01 : the monster

Our list really couldn't start out with anything but our frequent office visitor & the cuddliest boy you'll ever meet...gizmo.

Don't let the cute face & chicken hat fool you...his nickname isn't "monster" for nothing. If you come by the office and your pockets happen to be full of Pup-Peroni, you'll have a friend for life.
